hello.. everyone..! this is a common place where all the feminist or girls can gather and find solutions to the problems caused to them! in general can talk about their struggling lives..and share their feelings , ideas and believes..
Here is the condition of women of india… not only india but of the whole world… But focusing on India’s women… I am from India and i am always reading, listening and everywhere about women… Their achievements are lesser than the crimes done to them..!! It’s very saddening and hurtful to see this everyday.. Now I am scared of the sunrise because a new day and again a new hurtful basket of crimes against these innocent girls,women.. !!
yes.. this is the picture of every women victim.. India is still somewhat a “MALE DOMINATED” country..!! it focuses on male’s achievements their glories and their system women are like a third-party..!! If any crime is done to a women in india her mouth is shut the way the above pic is shown.. she doesn’t dare to speak aloud for her protection.. because men have been doing this since a long to them and they aren’t given justice so they think this time too the same will happen.! and thinking of the society which should always play a positive role towards them but neither they play positive nor they support them they instead decrease her level of confidence and blame her for what happened to her..!! the people think that girls and women are always wrong and should be blamed for any injustice caused to them but it is wrong..!! this is the another reason why here girls doesn’t like to take a stand for themselves because they know they have to hear the society’s hurtful talks and abuse.. so better sit and cry for what has happened..!!
If these words are only written in the picture in the photo and not used in real life then what’s the use !?… Showing a plate of yummy food to a hungry man doesn’t end his hunger..!! this ia applied for the situation of women.. we are living in 21st century but our minds and thinkings are still of 18th century where male were the counter part and not the women..! male were the rulers and women their slaves.. the famous “patriarchal system” was in practice which today also is motivated..!! and dignity of women was always on the sharp side of the knife!! destroying dignity of women at that time and now is considered as macho thing and the men supporting these thing and doing it think themselves as powerful…but one day.. one day women gonna change this!!
Slowly by slowly women in India and across the world are understanding the injustice against them.. they are educated now and know about their rights.. i know there will be that sunrise when women will stand for themselves where they will speak aloud and provoke the govt to take immediate actions for the wrong.. where women and girls will learn self-defence and where women will rule the world.. but no.. not without men.! with them..!! both parties will come together and rule their life, their country, their people.! and yes.. sooner or later this day will come and let us hope it come sooner.. so that we are able to live in the societies where the things written in the Constitution by DR.B.R AMBEDKAR are practiced in real life and don’t just remain in the papers..!! and one day will come “WHEN SHE WILL DECIDE TO START LIVING THE LIFE SHE IMAGINED..!!”
Hello everyone.. my name is PRANALI DAHAT and it’s my first blog.. i am a true feminist.. i got this to know when i got curious over the news of “GENDER UNEQUALITY”.. I think that girls are stronger than boys.. or if not stronger than they are equal.. Everyday news of “FEMALE FOETICIDE”, “EVE TEASING” and the famous “RAPE CULTURE” is uprising…These things always make me afraid of the sunrise.. because.. it’s a new day and new gallons of sorrowful news like the above mentioned are enchanted all over the world… its soo hurtful to listen and read them.. starting from the breaking news to the headlines of the newspapers.. its all about women, girls, daughters, wifes and all the females..!!!! some about eve teasing some about dowry about female foeticide.. and what not! so.. i love to be a feminist.Any high school student could probably tell you that males and females are set apart by a single X or Y chromosome. It’s difficult to fathom that such a small difference decides gender. Gender once determined who could vote and serve our country, whether a person could enter the workforce or stay at home and tend the house and family. Today, a fraction of the population is dissatisfied with the political, social, and economic rights of American women. This societal want is known as feminism.
I often hear feminism being ridiculed or called an embarrassment because of how some feminists respond to discontents. When feminism is mentioned, minds may race to the new Beyoncé album. Some visualize a bubbly hipster girl lounging with her MacBook Pro, clicking the reblog button on a post that states, in Helvetica font, “If guys talk to a lot of girls they are viewed by society as masculine and successful. If I were to do the same I’d be called trashy.” Those studying history may even envision the Seneca Falls Convention or a suffragette marching for her right to check “yes” or “no.”
The modern feminist movement in the United States is tackling many important issues. One of the most critical gender equality issues today is rape culture. Activists believe that our society condones, normalizes, and excuses rape because we consider factors such as what the victim was wearing, blood alcohol level, race, and/or demeanor of the victim. Also, cultural clichés make some women feel objectified as vehicles for pleasure and reproduction; this is referred to as the “sexualization of women.” Another current feminist issue is equal pay and the treatment of working women. Skeptics write off these issues because of their mildness compared to feminist campaigns of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Regardless of the public’s opinion of feminism in the U.S. today, Americans rarely dispute the need for attention to women’s rights issues in other countries.
While American women fight against the concept of acceptable rape, women in India may be fighting for their lives over dowry. Dowries were made illegal in 1961 under Indian civil law, however, many still practice this tradition where money and/or gifts are given to a groom’s family by the family of the bride. If the groom’s family is dissatisfied with the dowry, a wife may be abused by her husband and viewed as not worthy. According to the World Bank, 32.7 percent of India falls below the international poverty line and cannot afford the traditional practice of dowry.
While American women fight for equal pay, female babies in China and India may never experience the gift of life. For a poor family, the birth of a girl can be viewed as a financial burden, which has contributed to the prevalence of gendercide. Female gendercide – the termination of a fetus or infant solely because it is female – is shockingly prevalent in China and India. If an Indian family cannot afford dowry, they may choose to kill their baby girl soon after birth. Even with the loosening of the one-child policy in China, it is still common for a family to have prenatal tests to determine a fetus’s gender. Females that are born to underprivileged families are often neglected or abandoned because of the financial burden they bring to their families.
Some believe that women have already won the war for equality and that no more battles are necessary; however, for many women – in and around the world – the war has just begun.I would like to be a support to all those who have endured these things.. but now no more enduring.. its time for us to take a stand for ourselves.. past is past now we have to live in the present and make our future better by asking out our rights and if they are not given.. we have to show our muscle power.. oh common girls.. yeah we have muscles what if they are not visible it’s in our minds!!! If govt and people are not listening to our voices then we have to take a major step.. i just wanna say that this blog is a platform where you can share your feelings, beliefs, ideas and whatever you want. its not compulsory that only women can participate men are welcomed too and its very good news if men support us too – thankyou..!!
